Sec. 2 (20) of the Companies Act, 2013, Company means a company incorporated under this Act or under any previous Company law.
A Company is an artificial legal person, created by law, having separate legal entity, Perpetual succession, and a common Seal, with the capacity to own property, enter into contracts, and sue or be sued in its own name.
